Op donderdag 4 november 2021 om 18u45 is de voetbalwedstrijd KAA Gent- Partizan Belgrado FK gepland, in het kader van de vierde speeldag in de UEFA Europa Conference League.
We informeren u bij deze dat de wedstrijd zonder uitsupporters zal doorgaan en het bezoekersvak dicht blijft.
Servië wordt momenteel beschouwd als een land met kleurcode rood in het kader van de covid 19-problematiek. Bijgevolg is het enkel toegelaten om naar België te reizen in het kader van een essentiële reis of mits vertoning van een
vaccinatiecertificaat waaruit blijkt dat men gevaccineerd is met een door het Europees Geneesmiddelenbureau (EMA) erkend vaccin. Aangezien Servië niet tot de Europese Unie behoort en de Servische bevolking ook gevaccineerd wordt met niet-erkende vaccins, komt een deel van de Servische bevolking niet in aanmerking voor een EU Digitale COVID Certificaat of een equivalent.
Daardoor is het voor KAA Gent praktisch gezien niet mogelijk om Servische toeschouwers op een vlotte en betrouwbare manier te controleren.
Tot slot is het de afgelopen dagen duidelijk geworden dat de corona-besmettingen en ziekenhuisopnames terug pijlsnel de hoogte inschieten, niet alleen in België, maar over heel Europa. Ook in Servië is de situatie alarmerend. In het licht van de huidige epidemiologische situatie zal het bezoekersvak gelsloten blijven.

We hereby inform you that the match will continue without away supporters and the visitors' section will remain closed during the game KAA Gent-Partizan Belgrade FK scheduled for Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 6.45 pm, as part of the 4th matchday in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Additionally, no ticket sale will take place on matchday and we strongly advise against Serbian supporters travelling to our stadium.
Serbia is currently considered a colour-coded 'red country' regarding the Covid-19 regulations. As a result, it is only allowed to travel to Belgium in the context of an essential journey or upon presentation of a
vaccination certificate showing that you have been vaccinated with a vaccine recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Since Serbia does not belong to the European Union and the Serbian population is also vaccinated with unrecognized vaccines, part of the Serbian population is not eligible for an EU Digital COVID Certificate or equivalent.
As a result, it is practically impossible for KAA Gent to check Serbian spectators in a smooth and reliable manner.
Finally, it has become clear in recent days that corona infections and hospital admissions are skyrocketing again, not only in Belgium, but all over Europe. The situation in Serbia is also alarming. In light of the current epidemiological situation, the visitors' section will remain closed.
